Q: How did you decide on your undergraduate course of study?
A: No interest in pursuing the sciences professionally.
Q: In retrospect, what did you think were the most useful lessons/ skills/ knowledge you'd gained from your undergraduate education?
A: Learning to be pro-active and take initiatives.
Q: How has your undergraduate education influenced your career choice?
A: I developed the notion that lawyering is a worthwhile profession despite the public's and Asians' general, inherent distrust of practitioners, particularly those who are working in the commercial litigation and personal injury practices.
Q: Briefly describe your current job scope.
A: Currently in my first year of traineeship: fulfilment of performance criteria at three compulsory practice areas and two or more further optional practice areas. Upon completion, gained admission as solicitor of Supreme Court of Victoria. After four to five years of practice, to take and pass the Bar Exam to gain admission as Barrister. Note: In Australia, 'barrister' and 'solicitor' are two distinct, albeit intricately connected, professions c.f. Singapore and the UK.
Q: To what extent is your current job related to your undergraduate course of study?
A: Totally related - I acquired the skills required to perform the job through my undergraduate education/ The course was a pre-requisite for my job.
