Q: How did you decide on your undergraduate course of study?
A: It was based on my interests in Junior College, I had joined the Young Reporters' Club and Chinese Drama Society and I enjoyed applying journalism skills and Chinese language.
Q: In retrospect, what did you think were the most useful lessons/ skills/ knowledge you'd gained from your undergraduate education?
A: (i) Media literacy. (ii) Working with visuals (photographs and videos). (iii) Soft skills such as persuasion.
Q: How has your undergraduate education influenced your career choice?
A: I decided to head to Mediacorp because of my specialization in university, which was journalism.
Q: Briefly describe your current job scope.
A: I work at the Corp Comms department of Pioneer Generation Office, handling collateral and content that go out to Pioneer and senior citizens such as letters and posters.
Q: To what extent is your current job related to your undergraduate course of study?
A: Somewhat related.
Q: What are some additional areas you wish your undergraduate education could have covered?
A: History of Singapore's media.
