Story #47
Q: How did you decide on your undergraduate course of study?
A: I've been studying Science throughout my entire life before university, but I decided that I actually didn't really like (nor excel) in it. So I decided to give Arts a try and took Communications at university, since I've always like to... communicate.
Q: In retrospect, what did you think were the most useful lessons/ skills/ knowledge you'd gained from your undergraduate education?
A: Procrastination helps you to succeed. Most of the times.
Q: How has your undergraduate education influenced your career choice?
A: The 6 month internship period helped me to confirm that I'm able to perform relatively well in this field.
Q: Briefly describe your current job scope.
A: I currently take care of all external Communications matters for a start-up, ShopBack. Apart from SG, I look after other markets like MY, PH, ID and IN.
Q: To what extent is your current job related to your undergraduate course of study?
A: Totally related - I acquired the skills required to perform the job through my undergraduate education/ The course was a pre-requisite for my job.
Q: What are some additional areas you wish your undergraduate education could have covered?
A: More actual working experience would have been good.
