Story #69

July 12, 2017

Q: How did you decide on your undergraduate course of study?

A: I aimed to teach, so I chose a major that complemented.

Q: In retrospect, what did you think were the most useful lessons/ skills/ knowledge you'd gained from your undergraduate education?

A: University math formed a good foundation to fall back on, though secondary math sufficed. The rest (soft skills, pedagogy, etc) was learned on the job.

Q: How has your undergraduate education influenced your career choice?

A: I took up math to teach, so I already knew what I wanted to do.

Q: Briefly describe your current job scope.

A: Gives math tuition to teenagers. Includes unusual syllabus, which is learnt on the spot before teaching.

Q: To what extent is your current job related to your undergraduate course of study?

A: Somewhat related.

Q: What are some additional areas you wish your undergraduate education could have covered?

A: N.A. University was more of a rite of passage to me.
