Q: How did you decide on your undergraduate course of study?
A: Eliminating courses that didn't look interesting, and chose courses that was possible for me to get in. Also consulted peers, mentors and working professionals.
Q: In retrospect, what did you think were the most useful lessons/ skills/ knowledge you'd gained from your undergraduate education?
A: I think the most useful insight is the exchange program. I can study and live in a foreign country for a few months, allowing me to explore the world, the culture and how people do business there. Exchange programs can broaden my horizons, improve my language skills and provide me with an unforgettable experience.
Q: What are some additional areas you wish your undergraduate education could have covered?
A: Programming, and Fintech.
Q: Briefly describe your current job scope.
A: Doing PowerPoints, making Excels, proofreading documents.
Q: How has your undergraduate education influenced your career choice?
A: The majors that I have chosen would limit the job that I can get. For example, it can be hard for a management student to get an IT consulting job. Sometimes what professors taught is very different from the real business practice. I have been misled by the professors and found what I am doing and what my classmates are doing totally unexpected. In other words, you may do brilliant or enjoy the course but that does not mean you will excel in the your job position. A more useful way to make career choice is to use your university grade and university name to get an internship, which will be more indicative to the job nature and corporate culture.
Q: To what extent is your current job related to your undergraduate course of study?
A: Somewhat related.
Q: What is one competitive advantage your university offers? (From your perspective)
A: University reputation.
